How did you learn about the Contra Costa Crisis Center?
New volunteers are expected to:
1. Satisfactorily complete the required training.
2. Pass a free, mental health screening prior to beginning work at the Crisis Center. (Applies to crisis line, grief counseling volunteers, and youth services.)
3. Pass a confidential criminal background check. (Applies to grief counselors and youth services.)
4. Work a four-hour shift weekly for at least one year, following the completion of training. (Applies to crisis line volunteers.)
5. Attend review seminars and/or in-service training's whenever possible during the year. (Applies to crisis line volunteers.)
