Get to Know Us Presentations

We offer 211 Database Training online on a monthly basis – or can customize and make them available for your next meeting – and the Crisis Center provides at no cost. During 2024, we will also offer monthly 1-hour Suicide Prevention trainings and 2-hour Suicide Prevention and Intervention trainings offered quarterly – check our event calendar or click below – at no cost. 211 RESOURCE DATABASE TRAINING

1.5 hours

Participants learn about the 2-1-1 program services, how the system works, and how to search the 2-1-1 online database and refer clients and community members to agency programs and services throughout Contra Costa County. We offer in-person monthly database trainings. If your organization is interested, we can schedule a group training session. 211 database trainings are provided at no cost

SUICIDE PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION TRAINING

Register today for a free, interactive suicide prevention and intervention training sponsored by MHSA for Contra Costa County residents and agency providers. Choose between a 1-hour or 2-hour training along with other members of our community. Participants will begin to explore the issue of suicide, learn current suicide related statistics, how to recognize the warning signs of suicide, and how to help.

CEU credits will be available – Cost $20 each. CAMFT approved CE provider for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC), and Licensed Educational Psychologists (LEP).

Our center meets the “gold seal” standard of service as it is nationally certified by the American Association of Suicidology. We take pride in our staff’s training and crisis counselor certifications – as well as in organizing professional training around topics like 211 Resource Database, Suicide Prevention, and Grief and Loss.
